Omicron/Covid 19 advice: if your child or anyone in your home develops even mild symptoms of this virus your child must not attend preschool.  If your child develops:

1. a new persistent cough (coughing for more than an hour or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
2. a fever (temperature over 37.8c),
3. loss of sense of smell or taste or if things smell or taste different.
4. a sore throat
Please book a PCR test, do not rely on a Lateral Flow test.

Lateral Flow tests can be used when there are
no symptoms as sometimes people are carrying the virus without knowing and lateral flow tests can help detection.  A PCR test needs to be carried out if symptoms are present or if a Lateral Flow test shows up as positive.

What to do
1. To book a free PCR Coronavirus test you do not need to go to your GP, instead book a test on line as soon as possible. https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
2. Stay home and do not have any visitors until you get the test result - only leave home to have the test.
3  If your result is negative and your child is feeling well they may return to preschool

We will also not permit children with any cold symptoms in preschool at this time until it is deemed safe to do so.

Many thanks and stay safe.
